Deployment Articles The Pharmacist Professional Advisory Committee encourages officers to publish articles regarding their deployment experiences.  It is not only good for your professional development to publish, but it is an excellent means for others to learn about the USPHS and the unique roles that pharmacists have played during response to hurricanes.  However, we would like to caution you that for all articles that you plan to publish regarding your deployment experience as an officer of the USPHS, appropriate clearance is required.  Please email any article related to your deployment that you plan to publish through CAPT David Rutstein, (david.rutstein@hhs.gov), so that he can forward the draft document to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for clearance of your article. 		MISSION STATEMENT The Pharmacist Professional Advisory Committee (PharmPAC) provides advice and consultation to the Surgeon General on issues related to both the professional practice of pharmacy, and the personnel activities of Civil Service (CS) and Commissioned Corps (CC) pharmacists. The Pharm PAC provides similar advisory assistance to the Pharmacy Chief Professional Officer (CPO) and, upon request, to the Agency/OPDIV and/or program Heads of the Public Health Service (PHS) and to non-PHS programs that routinely use PHS personnel.
