Important PHS Symposium Updates - NEW Epi Session Announced!
The 2014 USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium will be held June 10-12 at the Raleigh (NC) Convention Center. The theme for this year's conference is "Public Health Today: Prevention, Innovation, Progress." Each year the Symposium is a place where USPHS officers can recieve training and their annual required CME/CEU and meet up with other fellow PHS officers. Click on the link above to find out more.
VetBites Added to Members Only Section
Vet Bites is the monthly newsletter produced by the Veterinary Professional Advisory Committee (Vet PAC) Public Information Subcommittee. The newsletter is aimed at providing U.S. Public Health Service Veterinarians with timely news about PAC members, updates on administrative issues, and advice on how to incorporate the National Prevention Strategy into their lives in one convenient place. In addition, features like the monthly Officer Profile help members of the Veterinary Category get to know each other despite the miles that might separate us. This is not a public document and authentication is required.

Mentor Application now available
The USPHS Veterinary Category mentoring application is now available online. You can use this application to indicate if you want to be a mentor, mentee, or both. Based on the submission, the mentorship committee can try to match up mentees with potential mentors.
The USPHS Veterinary Category Site Updated!
The USPHS Veterinary Category website has been updated. Visitors are now able to request to be added to the Category Listserv. In addition, this RSS feed is at the top of each page. Please feel free to send us feed back regarding the new site.
